Journal Entries Part 4

I know that some authors like printing out early drafts of their stories to do an edit on paper rather than on the computer. For me, I am always too worried that I will waste a lot of paper, so I tend to do everything on the computer. I only sometimes printed stuff out years ago. Actually, a lot of my writing was done with pencil or pen on paper. I couldn’t always bring my laptop with me, so I had to bring a notebook. I got a lot of writing done this way in school.

Once again, I cannot use Greenwood because that is from Middle-earth. At the time, I thought this idea was very interesting, but I like Sparks Shall Rise better. These old writings did help shape it though, so for that, I am grateful. I can see influences of Tolkien’s city of Gondolin (I think) and The Chronicles of Narnia regarding the animals losing their human qualities.

From now on, I have decided that no more rough drafts will be printed out. It wastes paper. Thoranon will be Toranon, and the elvish name for Greenwood is Labanan. Also, I made up a good story line for when the allies fall with the rebel men. Since there will be a first Council of the Lords concerning the regaining of the Light Stone, then if the king goes bad later, then he would know where the City of Stone is so he will be taken over by someone else who does not know the location of the City of Stone and the king and his men who stayed true to the allies unfortunately all die. The horses and dogs who stayed true managed to escape and live in secret while the ones who stayed were betrayed. The horses were turned witless and dumb, and the dogs were crossed with wolves, making them fierce beasts who fought for the dark. I will try to type a story line to follow by.
