When I was writing this fantasy story, I didn’t give much thought to copyright, so I used names and variations of names from other books and movies, especially The Lord of the Rings. Yes, these stories were ultimately abandoned, and no, I will not be returning to them. This series is blog posts is purely for showing what kinds of things I wrote over the years that eventually led to Sparks Shall Rise.

I’m finally getting to work on the story again. I’ll be working on the prologue on the 2nd or 3rd book. I don’t know which number it will be. Anyways, my original idea was to have Hanar (Hunter) and Scout as the characters, but I’m going to use their father Hanthar and an elf horse from Greenwood because there was a problem with the time scheme. There are still so many things I am unsure of in this new world (which still has no name), but I’m sure I’ll sort them out eventually, especially over summer when I’ll have time. I’ve already got a draft to go off of for most of this prologue, so I’ll get started. I think this book could be called “Rebellion.”
Update: This is May 27 and I’m continuing on the story.
