Journal Entries Part 5

Journal Entries Part 5

All those years ago, I kept notebooks and printed out papers for the stories. Sometimes I was working on them at school and had to write the story by hand and then type it into the computer later. When I worked on Sparks Shall Rise, I was happy to keep everything on the computer and have all digital files. It is much easier for me to keep everything organized.

I was in the process of setting up a series bible for myself even before I knew what a series bible was. I think when I was talking about tabs, I meant the tabs on dividers in a binder or something. I can’t remember. It was too long ago. Also, you can continually spot the references to whatever I was reading or watching at the time. I’d already seen The Lord of the Rings, and probably The Chronicles of Narnia at the time that I wrote this entry. I’m pretty sure I was putting references to Pirates of the Caribbean in there too.

In case I haven’t said it before, I retype the entries in the journal mostly verbatim. So if there are grammatical errors, it’s because the journal was just for myself, and I wasn’t worried about everything being correct.

Today I wrote and edited the first chapter for “Rebellion.” However, I realized that the prologue was set in the late afternoon, and this chapter is in the early morning, which I want, so I’ll have to change the prologue. I have also been going through papers and stuff, and I really need to get a bigger binder to put all of my stuff in. I want to have a notebook and folder for each book and then a notes and commentary notebook. I have ones for the last three books, but I want something different for the first one and the notes and commentary notebook. I wonder if I should keep the little notebook for stuff (names, people, places, things, cast of characters, genealogies, and weapons and warfare (I misspelled warfare on the tab: warefare). I might just take my tabs off and type this stuff up because it would be far easier. I just did that. Also, I have a problem. I want to call the main boy character in books 2, 3, and 4 William, but I’m not sure. I’ll probably do it anyway. Notebook with notes and commentary will have an appendices too.
