Lindsey Stirling, sometimes known as the dancing violinist or hip-hop violinist, had a huge impact on my life that I never expected. Back when I first had depression, one of my cousins showed me a video of a girl playing a violin while dancing in some cool locations. I think it was the Zelda Medley. He then showed me the Crystallize and Skyrim videos. They were interesting, and I looked up her channel when I got home. I think I watched all of them that she had out that evening. The video production was professional, and I enjoyed listening to the songs. Watching those videos and learning more about Lindsey changed my life within a day.
I had lost hope that I would be able to live a happy life and seeing how Lindsey fought for her dreams inspired me that I could also fight to make my dreams a reality. If you don’t know, she was on America’s Got Talent and was harshly criticized. She was told that she would never make it on her own dancing and playing the violin and that no one would care to listen to her music. Years later, she has played to sold out shows all over the world, and her videos get millions or even up to hundreds of millions of views.
She didn’t give up, and that gave me hope again. Honestly, she saved my life. She gave me the courage to pursue publishing the Sparks Shall Rise series and work to achieve my dreams. She was the angel that I needed during those dark times.
